Apprenticeship
To join our apprenticeship program, you must go through our apprentice orientation.
The minimum requirements are the following:
Be over 18 years of age.
Must have the ability to pass the drug test.
Physically able to perform the work.
Thank you for showing interest in becoming a Laborer Apprentice. To officially apply to our program, you must attend one of our orientations. All you will need to bring is a PHOTOCOPY of a State or Federal-issued ID. It is recommended to bring in extra credit in the form of photocopies of proof of education (10th grade+, GED, High school diploma, College degrees), work history from the last 6 years, which will have to be official documents (check Stubs, W2’s or go to ESD.WA.GOV for access to Washington state work History). You can also bring photocopies of any certificates that pertain to construction work. If you have a military background, you can bring in a photocopy of your DD214.
Orientations are held at the Fire Fighters’ Hall, 1109 S 50th St, Tacoma, WA 98408, on the 3rd Tuesday of every month. The time for you to bring in your required Photocopies and fill out the application will be from 7AM to 8AM. The Orientation will be from 8AM to 12PM.
